Single-Side Rim Lighting
For this model I wanted the shiny parts of Battery's clothes to have single-side rim lighting.
The shader flips which side has rim lighting based on the angle, although this could be controlled manually.
ILM
For this model I used my own ILM method, in which the shader itself has a separate UV map assigned for the purpose of creating internal lines.
Besides speeding up production time, this method also has the advantage of even crisper lines than those found in Guilty Gear, because the shader itself replaces the texture with math.
Background
For the background speed lines, I created a procedural material and applied it to a conular skybox.
